What is OSRI?
The Open Source Research Institute is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to advancing key technologies sitting at the nexus of future trends.
What Areas are Researched by OSRI?
At the moment, OSRI focuses on parallelism, from both a hardware perspective and a software perspective. The work falls into three categories: 1) solving the goals for writing parallel software, to be high productivity, portable, and have good adoption 2) creating low power and high throughput processor architectures designed to support the programming goals, and 3) Investigating fundamental models of parallel computation that can inform research on both the software and hardware goals.
